Biofy D.IA Experience connects science, innovation, and market

Last Thursday, June 26, 2025, we held the first edition of the Biofy D.IA Experience at Biofy's headquarters in Uberlândia. The event welcomed 28 master's and doctoral students in Business Administration from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), accompanied by their professors, for an afternoon of practical immersion and learning about applied innovation.

During the meeting, we presented some of the solutions developed by our teams, including:

• Abby, our DNA sequencing-based antibiotic recommendation system;

• LexIA Digital, artificial intelligence created to support lawyers in their daily routines;

• Our new product focused on real-time climate monitoring, which anticipates risks and optimizes decision-making.

In addition to the presentations, participants took part in a practical challenge, where each group received topics related to Biofy's research and innovation fronts. The goal was to develop ideas that connected their academic projects to the real challenges faced by technology-based companies. In a surprising outcome, two teams tied for first place, receiving a special kit from Biofy in recognition of their effort and creativity.

Another moment that marked the experience was the interaction of participants with Dogfy, our mascot, which brought even more lightness and closeness to the meeting. To close, everyone enjoyed a special coffee break and exchanged ideas with our innovation and technology teams.

The Biofy D.IA Experience was created with the purpose of inspiring new professionals to see how science and administration can, together, generate a direct impact in the market. We believe that bringing academia closer to the innovation environment is essential for creating solutions that transform society.

We thank all the students and professors from UFU for their presence and reinforce our commitment to keep this partnership alive, with new editions already on the horizon.
