Biofy team visits INPE

Last week, the Biofy team was at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) for a day full of learnings, strategic exchanges, and technical alignments with key partners for the advancement of our projects in artificial intelligence.

The morning began with a training session led by Jomar Silva from NVIDIA, which covered the acceleration of workflows on GPUs using RAPIDS. The immersion provided valuable insights on how to optimize large volumes of data with very high performance – an essential differentiator for our data analysis systems.

During the break, we held a meeting with members of INPE and managers from CEMPA (Center for Environmental Modeling and Research), where we discussed the first steps to formalize a strategic partnership. The proposal is to combine Biofy's know-how in AI with INPE's expertise in environmental modeling, creating integrated solutions for complex challenges in various sectors of the economy.

In the afternoon, the training continued with Pedro Mário, who presented Earth-2, NVIDIA's powerful platform focused on high-resolution climate and environmental simulations. This exchange was particularly important, as it allows us to expand the potential of our current projects – such as those involving environmental monitoring and disaster prediction – in addition to opening new possibilities for future initiatives with global impact.

The visit to INPE reinforces our commitment to collaborative innovation and the development of technologies that transform data into real solutions for a more productive and sustainable future.
