Biofy and UFU establish a strategic partnership for the application of Artificial Intelligence

The Biofy announces a partnership with the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) to implement an AI tool aimed at speeding up access to information and supporting decision-making in the university's institutional environment.

The technology licensing contract was formalized on January 30, 2026, in Uberlândia (MG), bringing together academic leaders from UFU and Biofy's management, including CEO Paulo Perez. The initiative reinforces Biofy's mission to promote applied innovation and collaborate with institutions that operate at the forefront of knowledge.

Technological solution with institutional impact

The licensed tool uses the RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) technology, which combines information retrieval mechanisms with response generation based on specific data from the institution. This approach not only provides more precise answers in complex contexts but also ensures that the AI operates with reliable and appropriate bases for UFU's needs.

The project will be developed over three years, going through phases of pilot validation and module expansion, based on strict data protection criteria (LGPD) and exclusive use for institutional purposes.

Partnership that enhances innovation

Biofy becomes part of the Technological Park of UFU (Tecno/UFU), strengthening collaboration between the company and the academic environment. This integration paves the way for the solution to be adapted and shared with other institutions in the future, expanding the reach of the social and academic impacts of the technology.

Paulo Perez, CEO of Biofy, highlighted the company's commitment to scientific and technological advancement. “We at Biofy are committed to the university because it generates knowledge, which is very important for society and for us. Together we can do much more — this is a seed that will still bear good fruit,” he stated.
